Ingredients

  • 395 grams of condensed milk
  • 100 grams of grated coconut
  • 2 tablespoons of butter or margarine
  • 1 unit of plastic film
  • Toothpicks to tasty
  • 2 cups of refined sugar
  • 1 cup of water
  • 2 tablespoons of white vinegar
  • Red dye to tasty
  • Oil to tasty

How to make

Step 1
In a pan, add 395g of condensed milk, 100g of grated coconut and 2 tablespoons of butter. Turn on medium heat and stir until it thickens.
Step 2
Transfer to a bowl and spread well. Cover with plastic film and let it cold at room temperature.
Step 3
Take a little of the filling and shape it into a ball and then stick it with the toothpick.
Step 4
In a pan, add 2 teacup of refined sugar, 1 teacup of water, 2 tablespoons of white vinegar and red dye to taste. Mix it all very well. Turn on medium heat and let it boils.
Step 5
To know the ideal point of the syrup is very simple. Pour it in a bowl with water and if it makes a sound of breaking glass, it means it’s ready.
Step 6
Turn off the heat, pass the balls in the syrup this way and then place on a mold greased with oil, to avoid stick.
