COCONUT CAKE

Ingredients

  • 800 milliliters of milk
  • 4 units of egg yolks
  • 3 tablespoons of cornstarch
  • 3 tablespoons of sugar
  • 4 tablespoons of butter or margarine
  • 3 units of egg whites
  • 1 cup of sugar
  • 1 cup of cups of wheat flour
  • 200 milliliters of coconut milk
  • 1 tablespoon of baking powder
  • Grated coconut to tasty

How to make

Step 1
In a pan, add 400ml of milk, 2 yolks and mix well. Add 3 tablespoons of cornstarch, 400ml of milk, 3 tablespoons of sugar and 1 tablespoon of butter. Turn on medium heat and stir until it thickens.
Step 2
In a bowl, add 3 egg whites and beat it until gets snow point.
Step 3
In another bowl, add 1 teacup of sugar, 2 yolks, 3 tablespoons of butter and mix it all very well. Now add 2 ½ teacups of sifted wheat flour. For first, add half of the flour. Add 200ml of coconut milk and incorporate. Add remaining wheat flour and mix.
Step 4
When you reach this point, add the egg whites that we beat earlier and add. Finally, add 1 tablespoon of baking poder and mix again.
Step 5
In a sheet greased with butter, pour the dough and spread well. Now add the cream we made before. Finish with grated coconut over it and take to preheated oven at 356°F for about 50 minutes.
